A woman was arrested Friday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after an argument in a Walmart parking space. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a driver who said a woman in a white sedan pointed a gun at her. Police say the caller maneuvered his vehicle out of the way and a woman in a white sedan pulled into a parking space. That’s when she claimed the female caller came out of her parking lot pointing a small black gun at her from inside her car. Deputies initiated a traffic enforcement operation and were able to locate a white sedan in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant. The woman in the white sedan was identified as Monica Hicks, and a firearm was found inside her purse. Ms. Hicks was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to Perry Hall Sheriff Detention Center, where she was later released on $5,000 bail. “She doesn’t deserve to go to the Green Roof Inn because of the parking issue,” she said. Flagler Sheriff Rick Staley. “If you brandish a weapon and threaten another driver, you will be arrested at any time. If you can’t stand parking or being angry, don’t go shopping, especially with the holidays coming up.”

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a driver in a Walmart parking lot who said a woman in a white sedan honked his horn to warn her of his approach and then pointed a gun at her.
Deputies said the caller maneuvered the vehicle out of the way and a woman in a white sedan pulled into a parking space. That’s when she claimed the female caller came out of the parking lot pointing a small black gun at her from inside her car.
Deputies initiated a traffic enforcement operation and said they were able to locate a white sedan in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant.
The woman in the white sedan was identified as Monica Hicks, and a firearm was found inside her purse.
Hicks was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to Perry Hall Sheriff Detention Center, where he was later released on $5,000 bail.
“It’s not worth going to the Green Roof Inn and having parking issues,” Flagler Sheriff Rick Staley said. “If you brandish a weapon and threaten another driver, you will be arrested at any time. If you can’t stand parking or being angry, don’t go shopping, especially with the holidays coming up.”
