Walmart customers are upset about long wait times in stores, even when seemingly obvious solutions are waiting for them.
The big box retailer has received a number of complaints from customers, including receipt checks, accusations of theft and self-checkout lines.

But solutions to many of Walmart’s obvious problems that are frustrating customers are already in stores, one shopper argued.
TikTok user @thebennettbus posted a clip from inside a Walmart store showing “Walmart’s problems.”
“But why Walmart?” the TikToker asked in the caption.
The video shows numerous closed cash registers inside the store.
Meanwhile, at the self-checkout counter, long lines of customers waiting to pay for their items stretch all the way down the aisle.
The clip shows a TikToker asking retailers why they don’t use cashiers or self-checkout to improve the shopping experience and reduce wait times.
In the comments, viewers were not surprised by the words: “That’s why I shop on the Internet.”
“The Walmart industry isn’t the only one that’s lazy and money-centric,” another added.
Others say retailers rely heavily on self-checkout to save staff costs, resulting in bigger bonuses for managers as well as “offering losses due to theft/expiration/damage.” He claims he can get it.
The reliance on self-checkout has turned other shoppers away from Walmart.
On X (previously known as Twitter), a shopper revealed he was changing grocery stores because his sister went to a Walmart that only had self-checkout.
“We found out we don’t have a checkout person anymore. It’s all automatic checkout,” they said. I have written.
“She asked someone where the cashier was. There was no one there. So she said I wasn’t coming back and left everything I bought there. Boycott!”
US Sun has reached out to Walmart for comment.
Meanwhile, Walmart isn’t the only retailer facing backlash for prioritizing self-checkout.
Aldi customers have previously slammed the German retailer over X, feeling the new self-checkout registers are taking jobs away from people who need them.
“So disappointed to learn that our local #Aldi (117 West, Cleveland, OH) was all self-checkout and only had one register operated by a cashier,” they said.
“I want Aldi to be a job creator for people in one of America’s poorest cities. Please reconsider this change.”
The US Sun previously reported that Aldi shoppers were frustrated after waiting “25 minutes in line” to check out.
