Parents, how many times have you opened a game or video for your child to play or watch, only for them to navigate away and open a completely different app? There's an easy way to fix this and keep them on a specific app.
It's called “Guided Access” and it basically locks your phone into a single app – you can also control certain elements like disabling the volume buttons, setting time limits, or even having the device ignore screen touches.
Watch this video to learn how to set up Guided Access on your iPhone or iPad.
How to use Guided Access
To enable Guided Access, find it in the Accessibility section of your device's settings and toggle it on.
Once the setting is active, triple-click the lock button to turn it on. You can then set additional parameters, such as disabling certain parts of the screen or locking the volume buttons.[開始]You'll need to set a passcode that you'll use to end your Guided Access session. This passcode doesn't have to be the same as the passcode you see when you unlock your device.
To end your session, triple-tap the lock button and enter your passcode, or double-click to end with Face ID.
You can adjust your passcode settings in the Guided Access settings.

Screen Time
Another place where you can set parameters for the devices your kids use is in Screen Time settings.
You may already be familiar with this setting and how it allows you to set time limits for different types of apps, but it also has some features you may want to explore, such as how you can prevent your child from sending or receiving sensitive content, and how you can set parameters for who your child can communicate with at certain times.
