According to Beavercreek Police Lt. Scott Molnar, crews were dispatched at 5:45 p.m. Monday evening to a report of a commercial fire.
When the fire broke out, multiple people called 911 to report any sightings.
“There’s a huge fire… in the back of the store, everyone is running out of the store,” one caller told dispatchers.
As soon as the dispatcher answered, another caller quickly said, “Walmart is on fire.”
Walmart is located near Fairfield Commons Mall at 3360 Pentagon Blvd.
When asked where the fire was, one person answered, “The fire is coming from the craft department.”
Another dispatcher asked if there was a fire in the electronics department and the caller said yes.

Molnar confirmed on Tuesday that the fire broke out in the craft department.
When the emergency alarm sounded, customers and employees immediately evacuated from the store.
“The whole store is on fire, one of the aisles is on fire and the fire is spreading,” one caller said.
Another caller said: “People are running out of this place…I’m in the parking lot and people are running out of the store.”
Molnar said everyone was able to safely evacuate the store and no one was injured.
The fire was extinguished by Walmart’s automatic sprinkler system and was fully extinguished by the time firefighters arrived.
The Beavercreek Police Department is investigating the incident as a suspicious property and has identified two juvenile suspects.
This investigation is ongoing.
It is unclear what kind of damage Walmart suffered.
