BEAVER CREEK — An area where Walmart is preparing to reopen days after a man entered there and opened fire, injuring four people.
The company said it was ready to open for Black Friday, but employees said it was too soon to return to the building.
A Walmart employee, who requested anonymity, told News Center 7 that he was not ready to return.
“I’m not going there (Friday). I don’t know if I’ll go back,” she said.
She spoke about Walmart’s decision to reopen.
“For many, this is not what we want. We are not ready for it. We are being forced into it,” she said.

A Walmart spokesperson said employees have told them they are ready to return.
“We remain focused on supporting the health of our employees. As we have been talking with them about when we will reopen and resume serving customers, their overwhelming feedback has been that we will It was about reopening,” she said.
The employee said he felt the need to speak out and say this is not true.
“I 100% think they’re prioritizing the sales they can make this weekend over what their employees want. We don’t want this, we’re not ready,” she said. Ta.
News Center 7 reached out to Walmart again. They said they stood by their previous statement.

“When you get to a big company like this, sometimes money is more important, which doesn’t surprise me,” she said.
She’s not sure she’ll be able to go back to work, not because of the tragedy, but because of Walmart’s response.
“I wish the store would have been closed at least until the end of the week because I think it’s too early,” she said.
Walmart reached out to News Center 7 again and said it will do everything it can to help employees who are concerned about returning to stores.
However, the store is open from 6 a.m.
