This year’s organizers said they focused on honoring care workers. Abby Sutherland, head volleyball coach at the University of California, Green Bay, recently lost her mother to the disease and has been instrumental in organizing the event each year.

The Green Bay Automotive Gallery also held an event to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. Organizers said they were raising money through casino games and raffle baskets, and that many of the people who helped plan the Attacking Alzheimer’s Game also helped plan the event.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 120,000 people over the age of 65 in Wisconsin have Alzheimer’s disease, and approximately 191,000 people across the state are caring for Wisconsinites battling Alzheimer’s disease.
