BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart has released technology renderings of the home office of the future, showcasing its plans for an advanced and inclusive workspace.
Spread over 350 acres, the new Walmart Home Office will house 12 purpose-built office buildings, along with amenity spaces including a hotel, auditorium, fitness center, childcare center, amphitheater, food hall, and two lakes. I promise.
Each of the nine parking decks will have more than 1,000 spaces and will also include “bicycle and electric vehicle parking, as well as future self-driving vehicle flexibility,” according to Walmart. Walmart also said the new campus will be designed with bicycling in mind, with sports storage, showers and locker rooms in each “neighborhood” of the campus.
Walmart said its goal is to open the new campus in phases throughout 2025, but “as with any major construction project, timing is subject to change.”
Walmart said construction on both 8th Avenue and J Street will last until 2024 as the project continues.
