Stolen: Warrensville Center Rod
On Nov. 8, Walmart’s loss prevention department reported that a shoplifter in custody for stealing $172 escaped from the office on a hoverboard.
Responding officers located the suspect hovering away from the property and took him into custody.
She refused to identify herself and was taken to jail, where she kicked an officer in the leg and attempted to punch another officer.
She was later identified as a 16-year-old resident and charges were forwarded to juvenile court.
Suspect: Tamalga Drive
A resident reported on October 3 that her car and keys were taken without her permission.
The vehicle was then registered as stolen.
Robbery: Quilliam’s Rod
On November 7, a postal worker was held at gunpoint by two unidentified masked men who stole his mail master key.
The suspects left in an unknown direction.
This incident is under investigation.
Stolen vehicle: South Green Rod
A Euclid man said he was contacted by a mechanic in the 500 block on Nov. 7 to report that his car had been stolen from the shop while he was out for repairs.
The company informed him that their safe deposit box had been stolen from the company and his keys were inside.
This incident is under investigation.
Vandalism: South Green Rod
A business owner in the 400 block reported on Nov. 9 that someone threw asphalt pebbles through the back window of his business.
According to him, this is the second time this has happened in the past two weeks.
No suspects were identified, but special attention was given to the area.
Disorderly conduct: Warrensville Center Road.
A Walmart manager reported on November 2 that a customer had threatened an employee by threatening to return with other employees and assault them.
The customer also called police and stated that he had been assaulted by an employee and wanted to press charges.
A review of surveillance video showed a customer pushing the employee, but the employee did not appear to have had any contact with the customer.
A 21-year-old Cleveland woman was told she was banned from all Walmart facilities and became violent and loud towards staff in response. This led to her being wanted on charges of disorderly conduct.
