GRAFTON, W.Va. (WV News) – Some of those indicted by a recent Taylor County grand jury are charged with firing a gun inside a Grafton Walmart store, injuring another person and endangering bystanders. They included a 23-year-old Pennsylvanian who was killed.
William Tucker Jenkins of Friendsville, Pa., flees on charges of attempted murder, wanton endangerment with a firearm, use or presentation of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and reckless indifference, according to Taylor Prosecutor John Board. was charged with a crime.
“The victim was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the hand, and the third shot missed. Fortunately, no bystanders were injured during the altercation,” said Grafton Detective Misty Delgado. said earlier. “According to reports, more than 100 people were inside the store at the time of the shooting.”
After the shooting, Jenkins reportedly fled the store and fled the scene in a pickup truck, Taylor Chief Prosecutor Christopher Miller said.
“Law enforcement immediately responded to the scene and pursued the suspect as he drove toward Marion County,” he said. “Approximately one-half mile past the Marion County line on Route 310, the suspect’s vehicle became disabled and the pursuit ended.”
