If you live in New England, you love Walmart. I can’t help it. I may say I don’t like Walmart for various reasons, but deep down I truly love this place.
Sure, we all love supporting locally owned businesses and we all love ordering certain things online, but the convenience of going to Walmart to buy some things Nothing beats it. Well, jeans, bread pudding, a diamond ring, cleaning supplies, and an extra air fryer (not too much).
If you’re a regular Walmart shopper looking for bargains, there are some new rules to be aware of.
Walmart’s new policy
According to Coupon in the News (yes, this is a real website), a few months ago, Walmart quietly updated its coupon policy. The biggest change concerns coupon refunds.
Apparently, if you bring in a coupon that’s worth enough to make the price of the item negative, they’ll actually give you your change back.
No more.
Due to police transfers, that benefit was abolished. You may be able to pay nothing for certain items, but you won’t get any cashback.
To be honest, I’m a little surprised they did that in the first place.
Other Walmart Policy Updates
The article also states that Walmart is currently placing limits on the number of identical coupons a given household can use in a day. So if you normally used to use the same wad of coupons to stock up on certain items, you can no longer do that.
Coupon invalidation has also been stopped. Previously, cashiers/managers could override the register to allow it to accept coupons. They can’t do that anymore.
If you frequently use coupons at Walmart, it pays to familiarize yourself with their current policies.can be found here
