One of the Walmart employees shows what he does at work. This includes correcting co-workers when they incorrectly label an item as “out of stock.”

And only Walmart claims that an employee’s sighting of a black crow in the parking lot was a sign that a co-worker was about to die.
Now, the other issue that’s happening at Walmart, I think it’s happening at other stores as well, but not as often as Walmart. If you’ve ever placed an online shopping order at Walmart and had doubts when certain items were out of stock, let’s just say your doubts were justified. One Walmart employee just put her TikTok to work on double-checking items that his co-workers marked as “out of stock.”

A Walmart employee’s job is to find products that are incorrectly marked as “out of stock.”
Picture this: You order a KitKat online at Walmart, only to be informed that the store doesn’t have it in stock. I can’t help but think that’s unlikely.
You’re not wrong to think that way, because KitKat is in stock and the employee who processed your shopping order may have been wrong.

It happens more often than you think, as one Walmart employee who works “by exception” can attest. So much so that one of his responsibilities at his workplace is to hunt around and investigate some of the items that his co-workers say are out of stock in the store.
He created a video on TikTok to show viewers what his job entails and how the people he works with don’t seem to be looking for items enough.

“That’s why I make exceptions for online orders. So basically, if people can’t find what they want to buy, I have to go find it,” Walmart employee @ tio_choco said in the video.
His first task is to find Kit Kats, but the store actually has a large selection of Kit Kats.
“Could you take a look at that?” he said of his colleague, looking at the row of chocolate wafer candies, “but we couldn’t find the item.”

@tio_choco looks for Corn on the Cob, slippers, Pop Corners potato chips, address labels, drink mixes, Red Bull energy drinks, and other items that colleagues have marked as out of stock.
From the tone of @tio_choco’s voice, I could tell he was a little fed up with his coworker’s antics.

In the comments section, users could empathize. “I always find something on the shelf when I’m told it’s not available,” one user wrote.
Another said: “Half of the items I ordered once were ‘out of stock’ so I drove to the store and found everything myself.”
Another person asked @tio_choco if an employee who mistakenly marked an item as out of stock would get in trouble, and he said yes. However, it is not clear how serious these crimes are.

Bottom line: If an item you ordered from Walmart is marked as “out of stock,” either look for it yourself or find your local exception representative. You might be able to get the item after all.
