Multinational retail company Walmart has partnered with beauty and fashion technology provider Perfect to launch a virtual makeup ‘try on’ experience.
This new experience, available through Walmart’s iOS app, is powered by Perfect’s Face artificial intelligence (AI) solution, which uses AI deep learning technology to leverage hyper-realistic augmented reality (AR) for customers. Develop makeup filters.
Walmart’s virtual try-on experience allows shoppers to virtually try on makeup products such as lip color, eyeshadow, blush, and bronzer in seconds.
Perfect says shoppers can virtually try on more than 1,400 products from Walmart Beauty’s assortment of brands, including Almay, Black Radiance, CoverGirl, Maybelline, Revlon and Rimmel.
This technology also eliminates the need for physical product samples, reducing product waste and negative environmental impact.
