Piney Point, Maryland – Built in 1836, Piney Point Lighthouse and Lighthouse Lighthouse is located 23 miles up the Potomac River from the Chesapeake Bay. The lighthouse remains today as a witness to a bygone high society era, when many people from within and outside of Washington, D.C., visited Piney Point for vacation. Open every day from November 26th (Sunday)th Until January 1st (Sunday)cent From 10am to 5pm. Admission is $7.00 for adults, $3.50 for seniors, students and military, and free for children 5 and under. The Museum Store will be open during museum hours for holiday shopping. The exhibition will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Don’t tempt me with good times! It exceeded my expectations and was a fun and warm experience as well as a learning experience. It’s not often that you can achieve both.
Vacation is here! The historic Piney Point Museum and Lighthouse is celebrating just as we are. This landmark’s rich history is one of his Civil War roots. It was a beacon of light for all. If you have a chance to visit, especially if you are a history buff, definitely take a tour.
It’s the wonder of wonders. It’s beautiful, moving, and a big part of Maryland’s dedication to preserving what should be remembered for those who fought bravely and died on our shores. We must cherish and respect it. On a brighter note, there’s still time to take a holiday tour that’s open to the public.

Climb the Potomac River’s oldest lighthouse (built in 1836), admire historic ships and maritime history at the museum, learn about the U1105 Historic Shipwreck Dive Sanctuary, stroll the beach, paddle a kayak, and explore the 6-acre park. , pier, and gardens. more.
The museum details the history of the area and includes an exhibit of the World War II German submarine U-1105 Black Panther. The submarine is located just off the coast of an area designated as the state’s first Historic Shipwreck Diving Sanctuary.
The Potomac River Marine Exhibit includes a collection of historic wooden ships and the stories of the sailors who once sailed the Chesapeake Bay.
The 6-acre park includes picnic areas, kayak launches, walking trails, a pier, and a sandy beach (no fishing or swimming allowed). Nothing can beat this view. It’s the best time to visit. [3]
