Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said the elderly man was leaving the store with a bag in his hand and was about to go through the first sliding door when the suspect approached him and punched him twice in the face. .
Mr Codd said: “This was a completely brazen and baseless attack on an elderly man who was just going about his daily life.”

Officials said the attacker did not steal anything from the victim, and the victim did not know him or speak to him before the attack.
“Violence in any form against any group is never acceptable,” Codd said. “Certainly, seniors need to be safe when they go shopping.”
The victim suffered minor injuries.
Detectives are searching for the suspect and are asking anyone with information to call 954-321-4238.
