MINNEAPOLIS — Cell phones take up a lot of our time and attention. But the right app can also save you time.
Here are some of our favorites and some recommendations from our viewers.
1. MyFitnessPal: Track your calories, exercise, and steps to get in better shape. MyFitnessPal also estimates calories. Just enter what you eat into the food tracker and it will estimate what you have consumed.
2. FamilyWall: This is one of the many family organization apps out there. Manage your family calendar, meal plans, shopping lists, and more all in one place.
3. Bobby Approved: This app was developed by a cookbook author to help you choose foods with quality ingredients. When shopping for groceries, simply point your phone’s camera at the product’s barcode to scan it. You’ll know if the product you’re considering purchasing is made with high-quality ingredients.
4. Flip: This is another grocery shopping helper. Enter your zip code and select the store you want to shop at. Flipp brings together all your weekly ads in one place. So you can narrow down your search for the best deals.
