Watermark Art Center in Bemidji is giving away Art-to-Go print kits For children 14 and under, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The kit includes everything a young artist needs to create a gallery of colorful monoprints, including paper, ink, Breyer, textured plates, and other textured items. Kits will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Native American artist Kent Esty’s exhibition “Endanakiyan – Where on Earth Am I?” Opening at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji. Landscapes and natural scenes painted in bright, bold colors will be on display, and a reception will be held on Dec. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. Watermark Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ruby’s Pantry Laporte will set up a pop-up pantry from 4:30 to 6 p.m., or until the pantry runs out, at the LaPorte School Bus Garage located across from 315 W. Main Street. The requested donation amount is $25 and only change will be accepted. There is no limit to the number of bundles you can pick up. To pre-register for a bundle, donate or volunteer, visit www.RubysPantry.org. It would be helpful if you could bring a replacement box with you. The event is hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church.

Northern Light Opera Company’s “A Very Good Christmas Carol” at the Armory Arts & Events Center at 7 p.m., just after the Christmas tree lighting. This two-person retelling of Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” requires audience participation and was previewed last summer. Performances are free and open to the public.
