LOGAN, W.Va. (WOWK) — Two women were arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from a Walmart in Logan on Friday and Saturday.
According to a statement from the West Virginia State Police, officers investigated a reported grand larceny at the Walmart on Norman Morgan Boulevard in Logan, West Virginia on October 30th. The investigation revealed two suspects, later identified as Alexandria Hatcher. , 33, and Victoria Ford, 25, are accused of hiding approximately $1,281 in store merchandise in a plastic tote bag, then leaving the store without paying and stealing it.
The investigation also revealed that Hatcher and Ford were suspected of attempting to steal approximately $1,351 worth of merchandise from another Walmart in South Williamson, Kentucky, and after the attempt failed, they moved to the Logan Walmart, the release said. said.
Mr. Ford was arrested on November 17th and Mr. Hatcher on November 18th. Both men are charged with grand larceny and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Both men are being held at Southwest Regional Jail, with Hatcher being held on a $20,000 10% cash bond and Ford on a $20,000 multiple 10% bond.
