Whether you like visiting Walmart stores or not, Walmart is a very popular shopping destination in Texas. Personally, I appreciate their “rollback” pricing, which allows me to get items cheaper than other stores because they have so many stores and I can buy in bulk and pass on the savings. Although we all know that the recent inflation has been tough on all of us. But if you’re a Walmart shopper, there are two big changes you should expect in the near future.
I was recently reading an article on The Street about these changes that Walmart is currently making, but this has nothing to do with self-checkout. But one big change that could be implemented soon could make your life a lot easier.
Changes at Walmart that might really help
Walmart wants to have 40 mini post offices inside its stores by the end of 2023 to speed up deliveries. These mini stations should make next day delivery much easier. Texas is the state with the highest priority for this, but there is no list of specific stores that could be expected to have mini-post offices.
Other changes coming to select Walmart stores
In addition to having post offices inside Walmart stores, another change Walmart is experimenting with is putting police stations inside its stores. Theft at Walmart is a big problem and major companies are considering setting up police stations to deal with this problem, but how is it going so far and if they are considering this idea in the future? There’s no word on whether it plans to expand.

Walmart is undergoing a major overhaul of its stores, adding features and upgrading others at the same time. The company is investing $9 billion in the project, which will change about 1,400 stores across the company. Here, we take an inside look at the changes introduced at our first 117 stores, which recently celebrated their grand re-openings.
