Trick-or-treat event provides Lewiston community with more than candy

Lewiston hosted at least two community trick-or-treating events on Halloween aimed at providing a sense of normalcy and uniting the community. The city of Lewiston partnered with Bates College to host trick-or-treating. Hundreds of college students volunteered to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. “Right now, given the circumstances, everyone is looking forward to being able to really be a community with Lewiston and the kids and the families,” said Alexa Bowerfeind, a senior at Bates College.
