All-star volleyball game featuring local high school players
The We Serve First Foundation will host the We Serve First All-Star Classic Volleyball match Saturday at the Kiski Area High School gymnasium in Allegheny Township.
The match will highlight the skills of 40 high school seniors playing volleyball from 20 schools in the Are Kiski region.Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Player and coach introductions will take place at 3:30 p.m. Game begins at 4:15 p.m.
Tickets are $5. Students, $3. Children under 5 are free. For tickets, call 724-493-5945 or visit the office. Proceeds will benefit the We Serve First Foundation, established in memory of the late high school and club volleyball coach Ellen Toy. The foundation provides scholarships to high school volleyball players to play on club teams or attend volleyball camps.
Free grab-and-go meals available on Thursdays
Need Community Cafe in New Kensington will be handing out free grab-and-go meals at the cafe, located at 1011 Burns Street, on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
