Cleveland, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs won in 10 events but fell short in Horizon League competition against Cleveland State University on Saturday at Busby Natatorium.
The girls lost to the Vikings 179-121, and the boys lost 182-116.
Miriam Frass She won each individual event she competed in and led the women’s team to victory in three individual events. She started the day by winning the 1000 free in a time of 10:38.68. Flass then won the 200 free with a time of 1:56.22 and the 500 free with a time of 5:11.68.
The women also dominated in both diving events. Dasha Toth He won the 3-meter diving with a score of 230.70 points. hannah held He won the 1-meter dive with a score of 258.00.
james lessor They dominated the men’s team in the breaststroke event. He won the 100m breast in 57.40 seconds and the 200m breast in 2:05.94.
gavin redden The boys also won the 100 free with a score of 46.19. gavin webb He took first place in the 500m free with a time of 4:42.01. Webb also placed second in the 1000 free with a time of 9:39.95.
Alexa Radenovic He won the 100 fly with a time of 50.00 seconds. Like Webb, Radenovic also ran a time of 1:52.10 in the 200 fly, adding a second-place finish to his win.
The Penguins diving team will return to action at the West Virginia Invitational, which will be held in Morgantown, West Virginia, from Nov. 16 to Nov. 18. Swimmers and divers will reunite to compete in the Miami (Ohio) Invitational from November 30th to December. The second time was at the Nixon Aquatic Center in Oxford, Ohio.
