This weekend, from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th October, visitors will be taken on a journey back to the 16th century at Historic Environment Scotland’s new Regal Renaissance event at Stirling Castle. You will be taken away.
Included in the price of admission to the historic site, ticket holders can step into the bustling world of Stirling Castle’s royal residence and gain insight into the grand Renaissance style of 16th-century castle life. can. There are plenty of activities to do over the weekend, from designing your own coat of arms to practicing bowing to the Queen and her ladies-in-waiting, there’s something for everyone. Visitors can take the initiative to take part in period dances, enjoy the glitz and glamor of the Renaissance catwalk, and be entertained by merry clowns throughout the day in the Great Hall.

“Regal Renaissance offers something for all ages and we look forward to seeing you. In fact, visitors are provided with the finest Renaissance costumes to take a Renaissance selfie. We recommend that you visit the Chapel Royal wearing one.
Regal Renaissance will be held at Stirling Castle on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th October from 11am to 4pm. The castle will open from 9:30 a.m. for visitors to explore before the event begins.
Tickets to the event are included in the price of admission to the venue and cost £17.50 for adults, £14 for concessions, £10.50 for children and free for under 7s. Entry is free for Historic Scotland members and a range of family ticket packages are available.
