Savannah River Site Contractors recently celebrated the U.S. Department of Labor’s 9th Annual National Apprenticeship Week by hosting site-wide and community events to raise awareness of the 22 different registered apprenticeship training professions. did.

Established by the DOL in 2015, NAW promotes high-quality, comprehensive, and in-demand career path opportunities through registered apprenticeships. SRNS aimed to connect job seekers to apprenticeships and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
SRNS Apprentice School and Pipeline Training Manager BooBoo Roberts said: “We kicked off the week-long celebration by recognizing 45 current apprentices from Aiken University of Technology and the Technical University of Denmark at an appreciation luncheon. ” he said. “91% of our apprentices have gone on to full-time positions on site, and our apprentice school and pipeline training teams continue to encourage our apprentices to strive for excellence throughout their program.”
