As expected, news that Donald Trump has been awarded more than $350 million in damages by the state of New York for decades of fraudulent business practices quickly spread on social media Friday afternoon.
One of those who had an “emotional” reaction to the news was Mary Trump, the former president’s niece, who called the ruling “My grandfather’s legacy ends. ”
She added:It took more than half a century, but Donald’s ability to commit fraud with impunity is over, at least in New York. Trust me, that’s important to him. ”
The ruling includes a three-year ban on Mr. Trump from serving as an officer or director of any New York company. Eric Trump Donald Trump Jr. and Donald Trump Jr. were suspended for two years and ordered to pay more than $4 million each.
