LANCASTER, Pa. – The University of Washington women’s swimming team opened its 2032-24 season this afternoon at the Centennial Conference Quad Meet hosted by Franklin & Marshall at the Kunkel Aquatics Center. The Shorewomen lost to Dickinson 151-102, host F&M 173-83 and Ursinus 161.5-88.5.

Shorewomen highlights
– kylie smith Washington finished first with wins in the 100-yard freestyle (54.77), 100 butterfly (59.52) and 200 butterfly (2:13.61).
– Lauren Powells She took fourth place in the 500 freestyle (5:36.58) and 1000 freestyle (11:26.21).
– emma schultz A fourth-place finish in the 100 freestyle (57.14 points) placed Shorewoman among two of the top four athletes in the event.
– Smith, Schultz, Pauls, 400 freestyle relay team abby adams He placed 3rd in the relay (3:47.76).
Note
– The Shorewomen are 0-3 overall and enter the Centennial Tournament. The Diplomats are 3-0 overall and 3-0 at Centennial, the Bears are 2-1 and 2-1, respectively, and the Red Devils are 1-2 and 1-2, respectively. In other results from the quad meet, F&M topped Dickinson (163-98) and Ursinus (132-128), and Ursinus defeated Dickinson (160-99).
