Election deadline: Friday is the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 14 school bond election in the Broken Arrow School District. Registration applications will be accepted with a valid postmark by 5pm on the same day.
Shot clinic: The Oklahoma Caring Van will be offering free flu shots Monday at Oneta Ridge, Oliver and Sequoyah Middle Schools in Broken Arrow, and the Educational Service Center, 701 S. Main St. To qualify, students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and must be uninsured. Would you like to add a seat?: As part of his remarks at a Cherokee language event in Tahlequah on Tuesday, Cherokee Nation Principal Chuck Hoskin Jr. said the government would seek funding to add more immersion school campuses on the tribe’s reservations. Wednesday will be a remote learning day for Bixby Public Schools, except for second grade students. Her sophomore year at Bixby will be on campus that day to participate in Pre-ACT.
Bixby, Claremore, Collinsville, Glenpool, Keefer, Liberty, Skiatook, Tulsa Honor Academy and Wagoner will not have classes Thursday or Friday.
Sperry, Tulsa Classical Academy and Union will not have classes on Friday.
