Following Wednesday's Paralympic Opening Ceremony, Thursday marks the first day of the 2024 Paralympic Games, which run until September 8.
Competition will be fierce on this day, with a total of 22 medals up for grabs across multiple events, including four in cycling, 15 in swimming and three in taekwondo.
Several team sports will also begin group play, with the U.S. mixed wheelchair rugby team taking on Canada at 7:30 a.m. ET, where Sarah Adam will make history as the first woman to represent Team USA at the Paralympic Games.
The U.S. men's basketball team will also be looking to win a third consecutive gold medal in its opening game against Spain at 10 a.m. ET.
Teenage pair Miles Krajewski and Jaycee Simon will also begin Team USA's medal challenge in badminton mixed doubles, taking on Indian pair Sivarajan Solaimalai and Nithya Sule Sivan at 3:10 a.m. ET.

Like the Olympics, the Paralympics will be broadcast on NBC networks, with many events showing on USA Network. The Paralympics will also be streamed on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, the official Paralympic YouTube channel and the International Paralympic Committee website.
