CONNECTICUT, USA — One in five youth ages 14 to 26 is at risk or disconnected from education and employment systems, according to a new report released by Dalio Education and Boston Consulting Group. It is believed that there are.
“Out of 119,000 young people, 63,000 are orphaned, 12,000 of whom are in severe isolation. They don’t have a diploma. They don’t have a job and may even be imprisoned,” said Dario. Education co-CEO Andrew Ferguson said.
The report found that more than 50,000 young people were found to be in a state of moderate disconnection, meaning they were employed but not enrolled in higher education or vice versa.
Dalio Education officials say the problem predates the pandemic, with chronic absenteeism impacting one in three Connecticut high school students’ ability to graduate on time or drop out. He said he was at risk.
The study combines data from social service organizations with criminal justice data to identify risk factors.
“If we put these processes together, we have a much better chance of doing it. A good goal that we all agree on is less crime and more future success for young people who are adversaries from day one.” said Mr. Ferguson.
The committee behind this report aims to help school districts across the state provide support to students who may become isolated so they can get the help they need to continue their education. We propose a real-time database for tracking and identification.
The board also recommends the establishment of groups to provide support to students and young people at risk of isolation.

“The problem of isolated youth is not new to Connecticut educators. They have been sounding the alarm for years about the additional resources needed to support, engage, and improve outcomes for these students. This report brings this issue to the forefront, highlighting the vital importance of community schools that take a multifaceted approach to addressing the wide and diverse needs of isolated young people.
It’s time to rethink student benchmarks and end our overreliance on standardized test scores. Systemic changes are needed to ensure that success includes all of a student’s life chances, not just college.
By drawing attention to this issue and the need for education, business, and community-based organizations to work together, we aim to provide educators with the additional support and effective support they need to reconnect students with education and the workforce. We hope that we will be able to offer a program that That they are living successful and productive lives. ” – Kate Diaz, CEA President
Dalio Education and the Connecticut Council of Municipalities will travel to various cities and towns across the state to hold information sessions about the report.
