Monroe Township, Pennsylvania (EYT) — A Reimersburg woman is facing retail theft charges stemming from two separate incidents at the Monroe Township Walmart.
According to court documents, Clarion-based state police arrested the 34-year-old April Renee FancherThe Reimersburg resident testified Aug. 12 in District Judge Jeffrey Miller's office.
According to a criminal complaint unsealed Aug. 21, PSP Clarion received a report of retail theft at Walmart in Monroe Township, Clarion County on July 13 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The police April Fancher According to the criminal complaint, on July 13 at approximately 11:01 a.m., he stole eight window curtains, totaling $145.84, from Walmart.
Surveillance camera footage and screenshots were provided to police, according to the lawsuit.
Employees told police that the people involved in the surveillance were April Fancher Police matched Fancher's driver's license photo and confirmed that she was the person seen in the video, the complaint states.
Police also received a report of another incident involving Fancher that occurred at approximately 5:14 p.m. on June 18. Surveillance video from that incident shows Fancher leaving the Walmart with the scooper without paying, according to the complaint.
The scooper was valued at $11.48, according to the complaint.
Fancher was interviewed by police on Aug. 2 and allegedly admitted to stealing the shovel. She also said she called Walmart to tell them she had stolen it, according to the complaint.
Fancher faces the following charges:
- Retail Theft – Theft of Merchandise, Misdemeanor 2 (2 counts)
The arraignment is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. on September 5th before Judge Miller.
