Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library:
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a program that provides families with five children from birth age with one free, high-quality book each month. This program is offered specifically to families living in the Mon Valley and the City of Pittsburgh. Learn more and enroll in this program.
4K reading:
Reading 4K is a program designed to provide parents and guardians of young children with helpful reading tips. By signing up for this program, caregivers will receive personally created reading tips for their child’s development three times a week. Grow your readers:
Raising A Reader is a national program based on the idea of giving books. Families receive a red book bag filled with age-appropriate books from the child care program and take the books home after a designated amount of time to receive new books. Caregivers, learn more about implementing the “Raising A Reader” program in your program.

If you’re a facilitator, caregiver, or teacher in need of books, Ready Ready Pittsburgh can help you start a library in your classroom. We also plan to provide books to playgroups and replace worn-out books. Apply for a new book.
