One person was killed and another injured in an “indiscriminate” shooting near a Frisco Walmart Wednesday night, police said.
Frisco police officers responded to a shooting in the Walmart area on the northwest corner of Preston Road and Hickory Street just after 9:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found one person with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot and another person with multiple gunshot wounds on nearby Hickory Street, police said in a news release. Frisco Fire Department transported the two victims to a local hospital, where one unidentified person succumbed to his injuries. Police said the second person is in stable condition.
Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation continues. After further investigation, police believe the two victims were shot at random.
