Walmart customers in West Pueblo got their first look at the newly renovated store at 78 N. McCulloch Blvd. Friday after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
In addition to the transformed departments, Walmart store manager Jonathan Cole said customers will benefit from new flooring, updated fixtures, a new apparel section, new signage throughout the store and upgrades in nearly every department. Highlighted new features. The store also features a new mural aimed at reflecting the diversity of local culture.
“We are very excited to announce the changes we have introduced to our stores. The evolution of our stores has been amazing, and it is all due to the dedication of our employees, who have worked tirelessly to enhance nearly every aspect of our stores. “Thanks to our efforts to provide a great shopping experience for our valued customers,” Cole said.
To celebrate, Walmart donated $1,000 to the Pueblo Police Benevolent Association, $1,000 to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, and $2,500 to the Pueblo West Metropolitan Area.
Colorado Credit Union Employees Volunteer at Pueblo Zoo
Employees of Pueblo-based Colorado Credit Union recently volunteered at the Pueblo Zoo during the bank’s “Here to Help Day.”

Boots to Business Reboot Forum is Monday
Veterans participate in the “Boots to Business Reboot” forum for beginning and veteran farmers and ranchers Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pueblo Community College, 900 W. Orman Ave. You are invited to do so.
The forum will feature options for agricultural loans, resources for farmers and ranchers, and other assistance for veterans in rural Colorado. The event is part of National Veterans Small Business Week and is sponsored by the Colorado Veterans Business Outreach Center and the Southern Colorado Small Business Development Center.
“This entrepreneurship class will help participants answer the questions and challenges they have when starting, growing, and expanding a new farm or ranch,” said Kia, director of the Veteran Business Outreach Center.
