of maine state police People living in Lewiston, the state’s second-largest city, were asked to evacuate to designated areas Wednesday night. This comes in the wake of reports of mass shootings occurring in multiple locations.
Additionally, the Lewiston Police Department ordered people to shelter in place. Police said they were conducting a “search operation in the area” and told people to “remain indoors with their doors locked.”
They said the “target” was reportedly connected to shooting incidents in three different locations.
Law enforcement officials have released an image of the suspect in tonight’s shooting. The department also released an image of the suspect’s car.
The White House said President Biden is aware of the situation and told reporters, “The President has been briefed on what is known so far about the mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, and will continue to provide updates.” I will receive it.ā
