pelham – The City of Pelham is adopting new apps and web-based software to better serve residents through more efficient and effective city operations.
The city’s new app is called “Pelham 311,” and the new “Report a Concern” software is live and ready for use, city leaders said.
“The City of Pelham is introducing new ‘Report a Concern’ software, which we believe will make a huge difference in the way we serve our community,” said Ainsley Allison, Communications Manager, Pelham Pathway Winter As mentioned in the article in the issue. “This improvement is an important step forward for us, and we want to share with you why it is important.”
When a resident reports a concern, the software automatically catalogs the issue, creating a history for each type of issue and linking it to the history of a specific property. All staff members can see concerns and respond if they have specific knowledge related to the issue, rather than having it routed to one staff member.
Additionally, the new mobile app is even easier to use.
“79 people signed up,” Allison said. “Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. People have told us that they find the app very easy to navigate and appreciate the convenience it provides.”
Residents will need to set up a new account on the new portal. Like the previous software, the process is easy and free.
By integrating into the city’s ERP system, the city will have more historical information to respond to residents’ concerns.
The new system also provides better tracking and visibility, ensuring residents always know the status of reported concerns.
“Your comments and reports are extremely valuable to us, and we want to make it as convenient as possible for you to engage with the city,” Allison said. “Whether you’re concerned about potholes, park maintenance, or speeding in your neighborhood, your voice matters. We’re here to listen and take action.”
Although reporting a concern to the City may look different, the process remains the same, but has improved functionality.
Users see only one drop-down menu with all requests listed alphabetically instead of multiple categories.
If the request type requires location information, the user can enter the address into the map or use the cursor to manually search the map.
In the next section, users enter their request details and upload the images they wish to include.
The final step is to enter your contact information and submit.
Similar to the current system, users will receive an email when updates regarding their request are available.
The current Report a Concern software will be phased out in the coming weeks.
This gradual transition will give everyone enough time to register and become familiar with the new system.
During the transition, the City will continue to provide access to the current software for existing tickets, but any new concerns must be reported through the new software.
In conjunction with the web-based “Report a Concern” software, the City will release the new Pelham 311 app. This is a one-stop app for all interactions with city officials.
Users can use the app to report concerns, access city services and stay up to date on all things happening in Pelham.
To find the app, search for Pelham 311 in the App Store or Google Play Store.
The Report a Concern software integrated with the new app allows residents to report concerns seamlessly from their mobile device, submit various service requests directly through the app, and report concerns with real-time updates. Stay informed about the status of your concerns. Get access to important city news, events and information.
“We understand that change is difficult, but it is inevitable and presents opportunities for improvement,” Allison said. “The enhanced ‘Report a Concern’ software and the transition to his Pelham 311 app will allow us to better serve our customers and make their voices heard more effectively. We encourage you to stay connected with us as we make positive changes in our community. Your input and cooperation make Pelham a great place to live. ”
