Park and Rec offers Halloween events for all ages
Johnson City Parks and Recreation offers a full lineup of fun for all ages this Halloween season. Among the many activities, you can enjoy a pet-themed dog party, the Super Spooky Saturday Treat Trail, and the annual Halloween Festival held at the Carver Recreation Center.
“This is an exciting time of year with a packed calendar of community events,” said Promotions and Events Coordinator Taylor Dixon. “We have events for the whole family, including our furry friends. Treat everyone too.”

howl o ween dog party celebration
What it’s about: Take your costumed furry friend to Howl-O-Ween. The event will feature pet-themed stalls and photo booths. Proof of your dog’s vaccination record is required upon admission.
Date and time: Friday, October 20th, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Location: Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert St.
Price: Free for all ages.

super creepy saturday
What: Games, crafts, inflatables, a pumpkin patch, costume contest and more are all part of the Super Spooky Saturday festivities. Local businesses partnering with Parks and Recreation will set up tables filled with treats as participants walk the Treat Trail.
Date and time: Saturday, October 28th, 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Location: Freedom Hall Civic Center, 1320 Pactolus Road, practice area adjacent to Freedom Hall Pool.
Price: Free for all ages. Benefits will be sold.

annual halloween festival
What it is: Participants can participate in a costume contest for a chance to win prizes. Games such as basketball shots, football toss, and cake walks will be offered to participants.
Date and time: Tuesday, October 31st, 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Location: Carver Recreation Center, 322 W. Watauga Ave.
Cost: Children in costume are free. A child without a costume costs him $1. Adults are $2. Tickets to the game are $0.50 each.
