Dr. Randy Kluber, Vice President and Dean Oklahoma State University Globalrecently represented OSU at the closing workshop of the Ethiopian Higher Education Leadership, Management and Governance Program in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa.
The LMG program is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa. It is a three-year project to strengthen higher education leadership in Ethiopia’s public universities by providing senior leaders with insights into global trends in higher education and developing strategies to improve the quality of higher education in Ethiopia.
Oklahoma State University, along with Texas Tech University and Ohio State University, partnered with the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian Ministry of Education and Ohio State Global One Health.

Throughout the program, participants trained in Ethiopia, visited three partner universities, met with leaders, and learned how American institutions are developing strategies to address leadership and management challenges in higher education.
A closing workshop brought together representatives from these organizations and program participants to reflect on their lasting impact on higher education in Ethiopia.
“OSU Global was pleased to participate in this program due to the university's ties and history with Ethiopia,” Kluber said. “The workshop was a great opportunity for us to interact with each other and reflect on all we learned over the course of the project.”
