OSHKOSH — From the Nutcracker Ballet to educational foundation fundraisers, Breakfast with Santa to Holiday High Tea, you’re sure to find local events for the whole family to enjoy.
Check out the must-see events happening in your community this week.
1. Ballet Academy presents Nutcracker Ballet at The Grand
Ballet Academy of Arts will present Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet at Grand Oshkosh on December 15th and 16th.
This performance features youth and adult students from the Academy of Ballet Arts and professional dancers from Minnesota Ballet.
Additionally, professional dancers will perform works specific to their culture and ethnicity. They are Indian classical Kathak artist Anindita Anam; Lu Zhang, a cultural ambassador for the Northeast Wisconsin Chinese Association and an accomplished classical Chinese dance performer; and Kerensa Demers, a professional flamenco choreographer, performer and educator.
Founded in 2002 by Ann Marie Brunner Abderholden, Valley Academy for the Arts is a nonprofit arts school that provides dance instruction opportunities to students whose families cannot afford dance instruction.

2. Educational foundations benefit from fundraising efforts
Jimmy John’s stores in Oshkosh will host a fundraiser to support the Oshkosh Area School District Education Foundation.
On December 14th, the community is invited to make purchases in person or by delivery to benefit the Foundation. Jimmy John’s will donate his 10% of the day’s net sales.

3. Breakfast with Santa will take place on December 16th at the Hilton Garden Inn
Enjoy Breakfast with Santa Dec. 16 at the Hilton Garden Inn Oshkosh, 1355 W. 20th Ave. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon.
The breakfast menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, French toast sticks, donut holes, coffee, juice, and milk.
After breakfast, Santa will come to take photos, so make sure to bring your camera.
Tickets are $12.95 for adults, $8.95 for ages 6-12, and free for ages 5 and under (with adult ticket).
Reservations are recommended at 920-966-1300.
4. “Christmas Vacation” will be shown at Time Theater
Time Community Theater will present “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” on Dec. 16. Proceeds will be donated to the Oshkosh Animal Shelter.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the movie starts at 7 p.m. It’s all cash only at that point.

5. Mr. Howard hosts a holiday high tea on December 16th.
Howard’s will host a Holiday High Tea on December 16th. The event will be held at 405 Washington Avenue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Enjoy tea, sandwiches and desserts while listening to music. Dress up and have a fun day with your loved ones.
