Following Monday’s fire at the Beavercreek Walmart in Fairfield Commons, a Walmart spokesperson released the following statement:
“We are grateful to local emergency services who quickly responded to our Beavercreek store at 3360 Pentagon Blvd. No employees or customers were injured and damage to the building is currently being assessed. We will continue to We are committed to working with local governments and focusing on the health of our employees.”
A spokesperson did not have additional information about the cause of the fire or how long Walmart will be closed.

First report:
A fire was reported at the Beavercreek Walmart in Fairfield Commons and firefighters remain on scene, according to a social media post by Beavercreek Professional Fire Department Local 2857.
The fire was reported just before 6 p.m., according to emergency scanner traffic.
Smoke was reported throughout the building, which initially turned into a fire, according to social media posts.
Dispatchers have not been able to confirm the initial report.
News Center 7 weather cameras in Beaver Creek show there are still several firefighters at Walmart.
Photos and video sent to News Center 7 showed a fire appeared to have broken out inside the building before firefighters were dispatched.
It is unknown if there were any injuries.
