MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — Looking for the perfect way to spend the holiday season with your family? Look no further than Christmas Classic Events featuring two events at Memorial City Hall.
The first event, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the first release of Elf starring Will Farrell, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
MCH said in a press release: “This hilarious film celebrates the magic of Christmas as Buddy, a human raised by Santa’s elves, learns of his origins and heads to New York City to meet his biological father. It has stood the test of time and remains one of the best holiday movies.”
Elf tickets are $5.
The second Christmas classic will be the Broadway-style “Grand Ole Christmas Show,” produced by Will Hahn, on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
“This tribute to American Christmas traditions cleverly and gradually blurs the line between heartfelt nostalgia and modern pop culture satire,” said MCH Manager Glenn Barnhart. Masu.
The original production is celebrating its 20th anniversary and features Americana standouts Blue Water Highway, the Dirty River Jazz Band, and a cast of Texas-born entertainers.
Children under the age of 12 receive half price on this special family Christmas presentation.
Tickets for both shows are available at www.memorialcityhall.com or by contacting the MCH Ticket Office at 903-934-7992.
