CHARLESTON, WV – Today, U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) attended the Education Alliance’s 2023 West Virginia Summit held at the Charleston Coliseum & Event Center. The summit focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and its role in shaping education and career paths. Next generation. After the summit, Senator Manchin visited Gestamp’s stamping plant in South Charleston and celebrated the company’s 11 years of manufacturing success in West Virginia.
“I was thrilled to attend the Education Alliance’s annual summit and Gestamp’s 11th anniversary celebration in Charleston today.” Sen. Manchin said.. “This morning, I witnessed the exciting work the Education Alliance is doing to prepare students for future academic and professional success, including taking advantage of all the new opportunities created by AI. This afternoon, we were honored to recognize Gestamp’s 11 years of manufacturing excellence in our great state, and the continued creation of good-wage jobs and local economic growth. These partnerships is a testament to all we can accomplish for West Virginia when we work together, and we are grateful to everyone involved in making today’s event possible.”
