Magical Monday at Godeke Branch Library’s Magic Tree House

Are you a reader who wants to make the transition to chapter books? Come and experience the epic Magic Tree House! Young readers will love this easy-chapter book series and participate in crafts and activities that align with October’s theme, “Dinosaurs Before Darkness.” This month, participants will create their own 3D prehistoric setting artistically described in the book. Molly Abernathy lived a colorful life and was a pioneer in every sense of the word. One of Lubbock’s early settlers, she was a homesteader, rancher, railroad promoter, and visionary businesswoman. In the face of devastating hardship, she persevered and achieved great success. She mentored young women interested in business and was active in organizations fighting for women’s rights.
