Alpine Bank Boulder Thanksgiving 5K: Thursday, 9 a.m., Flatiron Park, 2211 Central Ave., Boulder. The Alpine Bank Boulder Thanksgiving 5K and Kids 1K Fun Run celebrates the many facets of family, friends, and community to be thankful for. It is also a time to think about those less fortunate. In keeping with tradition, this event will support Boulder’s Harvest of Hope Pantry with 100% of the proceeds raised. Louisville Turkey Trot 5K: This respected event has become a hallmark of community engagement and support in Louisville. Since its founding in 2013, the Louisville Turkey Trot has experienced rapid growth, with participant numbers swelling from 1,500 to more than 10,000. Last year alone, the event raised more than $50,000 for Community Food Share, a Feeding America food bank that works tirelessly to fight hunger in Boulder and Broomfield counties. I did.
