With Halloween just days away, Vallejo, Benicia, and American Canyon have a variety of events planned, from “trick-or-trunk” to dance parties.
A costume walk is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where kids can trick-or-treat at various nearby stores, including Alibi Bookshop, Anchor Pantry, Bambino’s and Brickmania. There will also be opportunities to paint pictures of haunted houses and pumpkins.
A costume walk event will also be held at the same time in Benicia. Local businesses on First Street, including One House Bakery, have transformed their businesses for Halloween. There will also be a dog and critter costume contest on the First Street Green starting at noon, with pets competing for prizes and treats.
A Halloween event will be held at Spirit Horse Ranch in American Canyon from 1 to 4 p.m. The event, located at 4 Eucalyptus Drive, will feature food, games, a petting zoo, trick-or-treating and other surprises.
The Cogir of North Bay Halloween Treat Crawl will be held Saturday from 2-4 p.m. The venue is located at 2261 Tuolumne St. in Vallejo.
At 4 p.m., Mare Island’s Vino Godfather will host an Officer’s Row Block Party where kids of all ages can enjoy trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting and face painting. There will also be a pet costume contest, as well as DJ performances and food trucks. This event is free, but organizers will ask you to RSVP to receive a free gift bag. For Halloween at American Canyon, the McCard Halloween House, located at 1814 Wood Duck Court, will be decked out Saturday, Sunday and Monday from dusk until 9 p.m., and candy will be handed out on Halloween night.
On Halloween, Love Life Church, 410 Nebraska Street, will host a Community Harvest Trunk-or-Treat event from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The event will feature candy, fun, games and more.
That same night, the Greater Vallejo Recreation District will host its annual “Nightmares on Glen Street” event from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will feature a costume contest, haunted house, music, games and more. The event will be held at 360 Glenn St. and is free to attend.
