This weekend is full of great events all over the Central Coast. We will introduce the events that will be held from December 8th (Friday) to December 10th (Sunday).
Los Osos/Baywood Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tree Lighting

– Kick off your holiday weekend as Los Osos and the Baywood Chamber of Commerce transform Los Osos Community Park into a winter wonderland. They will be holding a Christmas tree lighting event at 5 p.m. You’ll be enchanted by the variety of lights, festive music, and lots of holiday spirit.

“The Big Holiday Show” by the Makeshift Muse
Madonna Inn Expo Center (120 Madonna Rd, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405)
Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
– Enjoy the ultimate holiday shopping experience at Madonna Inn Expo Center. The makeshift muse hosts the “Big Holiday Show” and transforms the Madonna Nine into a shopping wonderland. This event will be held on Saturday, December 9th and her Sunday, December 10th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore her more than 70 vendor booths and enjoy all their holiday shopping in one festive afternoon. If you get hungry, you can also buy food from food trucks, treats from local bakeries, and coffee or celebratory drinks while you shop.

2nd Tamalada
St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (4575 Auhay Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93110)
Saturday, December 8th, 1:00 p.m.
– St. Andrews Presbyterian Church will host its second Tamalada. They will be in the kitchen making tamales to benefit the nonprofit Transition House on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. Please join us. No experience in making tamales is necessary. We will provide snacks and activities for children.

Annual Santa Margarita Downtown Holiday Walk

Saturday, December 9th 5pm
– The annual Downtown Santa Margarita Holiday Walk will be held Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to visit Santa Claus at the Educated Gardener from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm and bring his Christmas list. Children will receive candy canes and books provided by SLO Friends of the Library.

Star party at the museum
Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History
Saturday, December 9th from 7pm to 10pm
– The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History will be hosting a Star Party at the museum on Saturday, December 9th from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Palmer Observatory opens its doors and roof to share stunning views of the wonders of the night sky. Through a state-of-the-art 20-inch telescope. Spend an evening observing the moon, nebulae, galaxies, and other craters with the museum’s astronomy staff and members of the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit. This event is free for all ages. However, the star party may be canceled in case of cloudy or rainy weather.

40th Light Up A Life
Camino Real Marketplace, Goleta (Stoke Road & Marketplace Drive)

– Hospice of Santa Barbara will hold its 40th annual Light Up a Life on Dec. 10 at Camino Real Marketplace near Stoke Road and Marketplace Drive. The event will feature speakers, special guests, entertainment, refreshments, and the lighting of a commemorative tree. The event allows participants to hang a star in memory of a loved one who has passed away or in honor of the living. Participants are encouraged to personalize their star with a photo or quote to commemorate the memories they shared with their loved ones.
