Perhaps the most useful thing about the new Google TV platform is the ability to aggregate and organize content from a variety of sources. So which one? Here’s the complete list of streaming services and apps supported by Google TV:
Of course, Google can pull content from its own services like YouTube TV and Google TV (formerly Play Movies). However, there are many other third-party services as well. It includes big names like Disney+, Hulu, and Max, as well as NBC’s Peacock.
A complete list of services and apps supported by Google TV in the US can be found below. There are currently over 50 options available in the US alone.

Google also continues to expand the free channels available on its platform.
Google TV[ライブ]Apps that support tabs
Some services can be integrated with the Live tab on the Google TV home screen. This includes paid services like YouTube TV and Sling TV, as well as a variety of free content. Google TV’s Live tab supports over 800 channels, including nearly 80 built-in channels that don’t require an app download.

Why isn’t Netflix on Google TV?
Netflix is a bit of an outlier on Google TV. The world’s biggest streaming service unfortunately doesn’t get along well with the platform. You can use Google TV’s directory search feature to watch Netflix content, but Netflix blocks original content from being used in the Watchlist feature. Netflix stripped this support, including support for account linking, from its platform in late 2020. This means Google TV won’t provide recommendations for Netflix content. But in recent months, we’ve seen Netflix running ads on Google TV.
The impasse in support for Netflix and Google TV has been going on for about two years now, and there are no signs of improvement even as of 2023.

Where can I find the Play Movies app and Play Store on Google TV?
This new platform replaced the Google Play Movies & TV app, which had similar functionality to Google TV for searching content from different services, but it wasn’t as widely used. By integrating with your account-wide Google Watchlist and placing it directly on your TV, Google TV is much more likely to support this feature.
On the other hand, Play Store also does not appear as an app on Google TV. The only easy way to open the Play Store is to ask your Assistant to “Open Play Store.”
