To the editor:
As the Treasurer for the City of Ridgefield, I know about smart investments. The $110,645,000 school budget is managed by the school board, which must balance fiscal responsibility with the needs of our children and taxpayers. There is no one better suited to manage our education investments than Wyatt Lipman and John Paradiso, experienced professionals who are passionate about doing the right thing for Ridgefield. They have proven experience in law, business, and transformational leadership, are fathers of young children, and are established advocates driven by service to their communities.
Mr. Wyatt is Google’s general counsel and is an experienced negotiator for partnerships that foster much-needed cooperation from the BOE. He has experience mentoring students from under-resourced communities and serves on the board of the Leadership Council for Bottom Line, a nonprofit organization dedicated to low-income and first-generation college students.
Jon brings over 20 years of experience as a financial executive. John co-founded City Island Rising, a nonprofit organization founded to strengthen the fabric of diverse communities in the Bronx, New York.
One of the reasons they moved their families to Ridgefield was the RPS system’s excellent reputation. They are team players who are passionate about translating Ridgefield’s community values into policies that support bright futures for all students.
Your vote for Lippman and Paradiso is your biggest investment in Ridgefield schools. Vote for Wyatt Lippman and John Paradiso on November 7th.
