Lee County Parks & Recreation will be hosting numerous holiday events throughout the month of December.
Events include:
• Saturday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Santa of Slough, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, 7751 Penzance Blvd., Fort Myers.
It will be a fun day of Christmas crafts, letters to Santa, and photos with St. Nick. Winter treats can be purchased from Southern Sno Balls. This event is free, but parking is charged at $1 per hour or $5 per day. Carpooling is highly recommended. For more information, contact Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve at 239-533-7555.
• Saturday, Dec. 9, 4-7 p.m. “Movies in the Park,” Estero Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd., Estero.
The public is invited to a classic Christmas show. “Santa Claus” Rated PG. Bring blankets, chairs, and snacks to enjoy while watching this family’s favorite movie. Activities include photos with Santa, carols, crafts, his food truck, and more.Movie starts at 5:45 p.m.

• Friday, Dec. 15, 6-8 p.m. “Cocoa and Claus,” North Fort Myers Recreation Center, 2000 N. Recreation Park Way, North Fort Myers.
Bring your family, friends, and merry spirit and celebrate the season with Santa Claus and his merry crew. Activities include cookie decorating, hot cocoa, photos with Mr. Claus, reindeer games, and more.

• From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, December 15th through Sunday, December 31st Holiday Express Train, Lakes Park, 7330 Gladiolus Drive; Fort Myers.
Visit Lakes Park and board the Holiday Express for a festive journey. The Train Village route will be transformed into a dazzling display of holiday decorations and lights for an enchanting nighttime ride. Admission is free for ages 1-5 and $6 for ages 6 and older. Parking is $1 per hour or $5 per day. Trains are suspended on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. For more information, visit leeparks.org/lakespark or call 239-533-7578.
• Saturday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Winter Wonderland, Veterans Park, 55 Homestead Road South, Lehigh Acres.
Celebrate the season with holiday crafts, letters to Santa, a photo booth, reindeer games, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and more. Each child will receive a gift. The celebration concludes with hot chocolate, cookie treats, and tree lighting. Admission is $5 per child ages 1-13. Pre-register at leeparks.org/register.
