Tulsa Youth Opera concludes the holiday season with a production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s one-act opera, “Amahl and the Night Visitors.”
Menotti’s opera, originally written for live broadcast, follows a trio of travelers with expensive gifts to give to a newborn king, who stop for a night at the house a boy named Amahl shares with his widowed mother. I’m imagining the night. . Tickets are $15.

R&B singer Keith Sweat brings his smooth sounds to the Cove at River Spirit Casino and Resort. His debut album, “Make It Last Forever,” sold over 3 million copies and spawned four of her R&B hit singles, including “I Want Her.” Sweat’s 1996 self-titled album earned him quadruple platinum status thanks to hits such as “Twisted” and “Nobody”.

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil is returning to Hard Rock Live. 1/15, Martin Luther King Jr. Parade
Head out to the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, which honors the civil rights legend. The event draws hundreds of people and features music and floats. The parade is sponsored by Tulsa’s Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Association, which has been organizing ways to honor Dr. King since its founding in 1979.

1/19, Warrant and Winger
Two bands best known for their rock hits are set to take the stage at Hard Rock Live. Warrant enjoyed her 1989 success, propelling the band to platinum heights with the hits “Heaven,” “Down Boys,” and “Sometimes She Cries.” The 1990 album Cherry Pie featured hits such as the track titled “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” and “I Saw Red”.
