Capture is a productivity app that lets you easily take notes, jot down tasks, save links, and set reminders, all in one easy-to-understand interface. The app fully supports iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.
I find this app very useful as I juggle a lot of things: calendar events, notes in Apple Notes, reminders, etc. The app aims to simplify things and provide a centralized place to jot down notes. Anything In case of emergency.
Capture has auto-recognition of dates, so if you type something like “I'm going to lunch with Andy tomorrow at noon,” it will automatically save to that date/time, and you can close the app and carry on with your day's work. The app supports iCloud sync, so you can instantly reference your thoughts across all your Apple devices.
The app also lets you create lists, making it easy to categorize your tasks. You can create lists for personal items, work items, or anything else. It also has a widget so you can quickly see what's coming up. You can also easily move tasks to another app, like your calendar, if needed.
Another great feature of Capture is its Share Sheet integration, so if you're using Safari you can quickly share a link to Capture and it'll save there. There's also Quick Capture, a feature like Spotlight on macOS, where you can set up a keyboard shortcut to quickly add new thoughts to the app.
It's a nice little app, but I wish it had full push notifications instead of just badges. The developer says they plan to add Siri and Apple Intelligence, Apple Watch support, and audio capture in the future.
Capture is free on the App Store for up to 20 captures on iOS 17 and above, with the Pro level available for $5.99 per year or $11.99 for lifetime.
