Pixel Studio is one of the more interesting AI features coming to Pixel 9 devices. It's a new app powered by Google's Imagen 3 model that allows users to generate impressive images on their device by simply entering descriptive prompts, including the ability to render text with a high degree of accuracy, something that has previously seemed difficult for text-to-image models.
The idea is to create fun or interesting images directly from your phone, either from scratch or by using one of the samples available in the app. If you have a Pixel 9 series phone, you'll have access to the feature right away, even if you don't have a Google One subscription. Here's how to use Pixel Studio to create your own images:
How to use Pixel Studio
1. Open the app and follow the instructions Download the AI āāmodelOnce downloaded, you can scroll through the app to view different sample images, with different categories displayed at the top.

2. Tap Bad Generation.
3. Fill out the form Select the reason why you chose the image as bad and enter any additional feedback in the text field. Tap the checkmark box Check the box at the bottom to consent to sending a copy of your image and associated content (such as text prompts) to Google.
Alternatively, you can follow the same steps to report a good generation and provide feedback to Google on why.
Pixel Studio is currently in development
Pixel Studio aims to be a fun feature that lets you let your imagination run wild. But keep in mind that this is a preview, so the results won't always be perfect. The company says it's working on a human-generating feature. It also warns that you should be as specific as possible because Pixel Studio “may misinterpret the prompts.”
Additionally, while Google has safeguards in place to stop Pixel Studio from generating potentially offensive content, some do slip through. Google is continually working to address this issue in its apps, but the good news is that you can evaluate individual generations and report those that you think are bad for any reason. This will help Google better filter out certain types of content from being generated by Pixel Studio.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro is one of the best “small” flagship phones you can buy right now, and it's equipped with a powerful new Tensor chip that can run a ton of fun generative AI features, like Pixel Studio.
